Heartfelt

We've crossed over into 2025 and already off to a good start. The new year holds so many blessings in store for us and the people we serve. I have and will continue to pray for the children and families we encounter every day. What I did not expect to was for my heart to almost immediately become attached to the children but they have won me over. Each day we encounter new people and learn new things about the the kids. They come to us, ready to share their day's experiences at school. We have become expectant to listen and to share words of encourage and hopefully some wisdom to push them higher, make them believe in themselves and prayerfully motivate them to aim higher.

I truly wish that I could do more. There are so many things I have in my heart and mind to do and share with the kids but I am limited in what I can do. I will continue to pursue resources to help us keep pushing forward and to provide for these kids. Nightly, I close my eyes and I think about Sierra, Jayden, Mya, Mykala, Marvin, Kennedy, Nova, and the list goes on and on. it seems that every day, another child is added to my list. Parents working two and three jobs, don't know how they are going to make it and then realize that we are there serving the kids, they are overcome with the emotion of relief. Someone is there to help, we are there to help and that is what we will do.
